Celebrating 20 Years of Ownership at Green Heart Enterprises

In 2026, Green Heart Enterprises proudly marks 20 years of ownership under Pat and Melissa Sullivan, reflecting two decades of steady leadership, shared values, and people-first decision making.

Pat and Melissa purchased Green Heart Enterprises at the end of 2005 after working for the company as employees and officially took over operations in January 2006. From the beginning, they understood that the success of the business would be rooted not only in quality construction, but in how people are treated—clients, partners, and employees alike. That belief has shaped Green Heart’s culture and reputation ever since.

As a husband-and-wife leadership team, Melissa Sullivan, President, and Pat Sullivan, Vice President, have built Green Heart around collaboration, integrity, and accountability. Their approach emphasizes thoughtful planning, clear communication, and long-term relationships over shortcuts or transactions. The result is a company trusted to deliver complex projects while maintaining strong partnerships and consistent results.

Family has always played a central role in how Green Heart operates. Pat and Melissa have been married for more than 20 years and are raising three sons, and that family-first mindset extends into the workplace. Green Heart strives to foster an environment where employees feel supported, heard, and empowered—one where work-life balance is respected and ideas are encouraged.

Community involvement is another cornerstone of the company’s identity. Melissa volunteers weekly with The Place, serving meals to families in North Georgia, and serves as Athletic Chair at King’s Ridge Christian School in Alpharetta. Pat volunteers his time coaching local football and baseball teams. Together, they are active in their church and support organizations including World Vision, Son of a Saint, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The Green Heart team also gives back through regular volunteer efforts with the East Point Housing afterschool program, donations to local schools, and continued support of charitable and industry events, including the Delta Flight Museum Classic Golf Tournament, AATC’s annual golf tournament supporting the USO, and the Delta CRE Clay Shoot benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Ongoing involvement with organizations such as the Associated General Contractors of Georgia helps ensure the company remains engaged, informed, and forward-looking.

Today, Green Heart Enterprises continues to grow, guided by the same principles that defined its leadership from the very beginning. We are grateful for the employees, clients, partners, and community members who have been part of this journey, and we look forward to what the future holds.
