A Fresh Look for Delta’s Woolman Executive Lobby
At Green Heart Enterprises, we believe every project tells a story. Some are about growth, some are about efficiency, and others—like this one—are about legacy. We recently had the privilege of helping Delta Air Lines reimagine its Woolman Executive Lobby, the secure space where senior leaders work and VIP guests are welcomed. This renovation wasn’t just about finishes and fixtures. It was about creating a place worthy of Delta’s history and the people who carry it forward.
Renovating Where History and Modern Needs Meet
The Woolman Executive Lobby is more than an entrance. It is the front door to Delta’s leadership team and a space that reflects the company’s values. Our task was to completely transform it while keeping operations running smoothly. That meant full demolition, an interior rebuild, and constant collaboration with Delta’s real estate, security, and IT teams.
One of our favorite touches is the live-edge reception counter made from a red oak tree salvaged from Delta’s own campus. It pairs beautifully with modern millwork and Cambria wall panels, a combination of past and present that makes the lobby both welcoming and sophisticated. Just a few steps away, the original terrazzo flooring with Delta’s branding was carefully restored, preserving a piece of history that countless employees and guests have walked across.
Building Quietly in a Busy Place
Working in such a high-security, high-traffic space came with its own challenges. The lobby had to remain functional throughout construction, so our crews worked behind temporary partitions and often at night. Every detail required close coordination with executive support staff, catering, IT, and security. It was a balancing act, but one we embraced.
A Space Ready for the Future
When the work was done, the Woolman Executive Lobby was ready to be rededicated in honor of former CEO Jerry Grinstein. The new space blends modern comfort with historic character, creating an environment that feels both elevated and approachable. It is secure, functional, and designed to serve Delta’s leadership and visitors for years to come.
Why It Matters to Us
Projects like this are why Green Heart Enterprises exists. We love the complexity. We love the challenge. And most of all, we love knowing that our work supports organizations that make an impact far beyond their walls. Renovating the Woolman Executive Lobby gave us a chance to honor Delta’s legacy while helping shape its future, and that is something we are incredibly proud of.
