Delta Airlines Operation Control Center Expansion & Modernization
Delta Airlines chose Green Heart Enterprises for yet another expansion and renovation project at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.
It was imperative that this project was completed within the five week time frame set by Delta and, of course, within the budget constraints. The project goal was to expand and modernize the Control Center for Delta Airlines. The scope of work involved 20,000 square feet of unfinished space. That means everything from flooring to office walls to electrical and plumbing was installed and upgraded.
A key component of the project was to easily allow for future expansion. With this in mind, Green Heart Enterprises installed a raised flooring system to not only pave the way for easy expansion, but also to allow for communication wiring.
The expansion included new restrooms as well as manager and director offices. Glass interior walls were used for offices and conference rooms to improve the openness and positive ambiance. New furniture and fixtures were installed throughout the entire area with modern and high end finishes. Automatic sliding doors with card access were also installed to improve the main entryways.
HVAC upgrades were also installed alongside new, exposed ductwork. The entire space required PDU redundant power, which meant electrical improvements were also installed in conjunction with lighting upgrades.
