Our approach to building a new ticket counter for US Airways was using our best team to make sure that the project went as smooth as possible. Because the project involved moving an existing operation (US Airways) to a new location (next to American Airlines), we knew that there couldn't be any down time for their customers.
During the course of the project we ran into several obstacles. We worked hand and hand with the client and architect to come up with the best possible solution. This required the addition of several ticketing position to meet the demands of the airline passengers. Along with the optimal positioning of the kiosks, so that the flow of passengers could be maximized.
Our Superintendent (Tony Giacobello) was instrumental in scheduling and heading off issues before they arose. Tony has several years of experience at the airport and has not only the knowledge to get the work done, but also knows the right people to call if he needs help. From a project Management standpoint our Lead PM (Pat Sullivan) and Assistant PM (Cory Loy) headed up all weekly job meetings and executed the project to meet the customers goals. There were plenty of reasons that this project could have been delayed, but the Green Heart Team refused to let scope changes and obstacles get in the way and the project was completed on time.
